Loads of articles and books have been written about how to run budget usability tests, but many of them skimp on the details you need to run one for the first time, in particular how to carry out analysis and feed your findings back into the design process. I’ve tried to address this gap by creating a set of free templates that you can just fill in, and a simple “cook book” style set of instructions. I’ve published these under a creative commons attribution licence. This means you can do whatever the hell you like with these documents, so long as you give attribution (i.e. a footnote somewhere and a link back to this URL).
