Kitchen Stories – world’s only comedy about ethnography?

Kitchen Stories (2003) is a wonderfully offbeat Swedish comedy about a strange, government funded ethnographic field research project and the impact it has on the lives of the researchers and subjects. I’ve never heard of anyone making a feature film about ethno before, and this one is surprisingly good. The English language trailer is terrible – but some nice clips have popped up on Vimeo. FiveSecondTest beta – participants needed

FiveSecondTest.com beta

I really like the idea of FiveSecondTest – it’s a lightweight, free webapp for gathering user feedback on your site designs, particularly suited to people who have zero budget and little time for user research.

The original version had fairly basic functionality, and this is something they are trying to address with their new beta. They are looking for UX people to try it out and give feedback. With your input, fivesecondtest has the potential to become something really valuable. Go try it out.
